When Should You Clean Your Air Conditioner in Riyadh?
Common signs that an AC may need cleaning, plus simple filter and airflow checks you can make before requesting service.
Dust on filters and indoor coils can reduce airflow and make an air conditioner work harder. If airflow has become weaker, the unit develops an unusual smell, or visible dust returns quickly after wiping the vents, cleaning may be worth considering.
Start with the filter
Switch the unit off and check the accessible filter according to the manufacturer instructions. A heavily loaded filter can restrict airflow. Clean or replace it only in the way recommended for that model.
When to request service
If cooling remains weak after basic filter care, water appears around the indoor unit, or the system produces unusual noise, send the model and symptoms with your enquiry. A technician can then determine whether cleaning, drainage work or another repair is appropriate.
